Scarecrow Art Competition

The challenge

To celebrate Agri Aware's first ever show garden at Bloom in the Park 2017, we are running a 'Scarecrow Art Competition'. The overall winning design will be brought to life and featured at Agri Aware's show garden at Bloom. The competition is open to all classes taking park in this year's Incredible Edibles healthy eating project.

The brief

Agri Aware's Bloom show garden entitled 'My land, your land - Ireland' will symbolise the importance of the agri-food industry and the farmers behind it. We are asking your class to design a 2D farm-themed scarecrow that will be unveiled at Bloom!

How to enter

Entries must be submitted via post to:

Agri Aware, ‘Scarecrow Competition, Waverley Office Park, Old Naas Road, Bluebell, Dublin 12, D12C5P6, no later than 5pm, Friday 28th April 2017.

One entry per class is required.




The prize

The overall winning entry will have their design recreated and featured as part of Agri Aware’s Bloom show garden. The scarecrow will then be erected in the Incredible Edibles garden at Family Farm, Dublin Zoo following the event. Your class will also win a VIP trip to Bloom on Thursday, 1st June 2017.

3 x regional runners up will win a pass for their class to attend Bloom in the Park.

Competition Guidelines





The winners will be contacted on Monday, 8 May 2017 and announced online via Agri Aware’s social media channels, website and the Incredible Edibles homepage accordingly.
Judge’s decision is final.

A selection on entries will also be displayed in the Family Farm in Dublin Zoo during the summer months.

Please note: entries received later than Friday 28 April 2017 will not be considered.
